Pilates Teacher, Level 1 & Hand/Foot Instructor for Melt
Tammy’s journey with Pilates began while she was in graduate school studying for her Phd in Neuroscience. Tammy took her first Pilates class in 2002 which opened her eyes to how efficient this method was for training both the body and the mind. After teaching and experiencing a variety of different fitness formats, becoming a NASM personal trainer and certified yoga instructor, Tammy decided to pursue becoming a Pilates instructor.
In 2005 she began the process of her teacher training with Power Pilates in Washington DC. During her training Tammy was also completing graduate school and she and her husband started their family. Pilates continued to help her find balance in her life and give her support both during and after her 3 pregnancies. In 2012 she completed an additional 300 hours of training with Power Pilates in order to obtain her Comprehensive Certification. In 2016 she also became a Certified Pilates Teacher with the Pilates Method Alliance. She has also trained through The Vertical Workshop along with becoming a Level 1 and Hand/Foot Instructor with Melt.
Tammy joined the team at Whole Living Pilates in 2017 where she continues to share her passion and love for Pilates with all of her clients in both private and small group sessions. She lives in Colorado Springs with her husband and three children.
