The story behind Whole Living Pilates…
When I think about the path that led me to where I am today…I am overcome with such gratitude.
Six or so years ago I made the decision to start my healing journey and chose a new way to live. I left my job teaching in a large corporate gym and decided my health and wellness needed to be a priority.
After seeing countless doctors and multitude of lab work, it was determined that the root of my symptoms had more to do with my stress load, and my unresolved trauma and emotional pain than anything else. My body was just at a point where I couldn’t manage or hold the pain anymore.
Once I realized this, I dove head long into getting the help I needed. Therapy, somatic body work, pilates, rest and nutrition all became a priority. A huge shift was learning to give myself the grace and love to slow down. To slow down enough to not be defined by only what I produce. I called this process my #wholelivingjourney and didn’t realize this would one day become the name of my studio.
Whole Living to me means coming home to your own wholeness. It means embracing all of yourself instead of just parts. It means doing the work needed to heal your body, mind and spirit. It means understanding that this is a journey and process that takes time and patience. This is the why behind all that I do and it is my passion to help others on their own journey.
